Hellenic Brain Council

The Hellenic Brain Council (HBC), which brings together 4 patient/caregiver associations and 14 scientific societies, is an organization dedicated to fostering collaboration and innovation in all the fields that are related to the brain, such as basic neuroscience, psychiatry, neurology, and psychology. 🌐 Mission: Our mission is to bring together researchers, healthcare professionals, policymakers, patient groups, the health industry, and the public in a shared commitment to understanding the intricacies of the healthy brain. Moreover, we are interested in deepening our understanding of brain disorders, including their prevention, management, and possible treatment. Through strategic partnerships and educational initiatives, we strive to elevate the impact of brain-related science and activities on society. 🤝 Partnerships: In affiliation with the European Brain Council and other National Brain Councils, we actively contribute to a broader European network, amplifying our impact on brain-related issues. By fostering partnerships with academia, industry, and advocacy groups, we aim to address the multifaceted challenges of brain health. 🧡 Public Advocacy and Policy making: Beyond the scientific community, HBC is committed to raising public awareness and educate the public and policymakers about brain health, but also the disorders of the brain. We engage in advocacy campaigns, educational programs, and events to promote a better understanding of the brain, as well as to increase financial and other resources for research, education, and support of individuals and caregivers affected by brain-related conditions.
