Created by ex-IDEO designer Daniel Kushner, Pixinote set out to modernize the greeting card for the mobile age. Pixinotes are custom printed photo messages sent from the Pixinote app – as easy as texting – that arrive in the mail as physical cards for keeping, sharing, and posting on the fridge.
Pixinotes could be sent to anyone just by adding their @username – no mailing address needed – thanks to a magical feature built by ex-Google engineer Travis Parker. Pixinotes were delivered in a beautiful, easy to open envelope inspired by the fun and anticipation of opening fortune cookies.
The company was founded in 2014 and closed in 2020.
