Helping Heart is a mental health initiative dedicated to supporting adolescents and adults through counselling, mental health awareness, and community-based support.
Founded by Afreen Shah and Mehvish Shah, Helping Heart offers a range of services designed to address the emotional and psychological needs of individuals, families, and institutions.
Afreen Shah, Counselling Psychologist (CBT & REBT trained), works extensively with adolescents and adults on issues related to anxiety, stress, relationships, and self-esteem. She also leads school and college-based awareness programs and workshops on emotional well-being.
Mehvish Shah, M.Sc. Clinical Psychology is a Psychologist at the District Hospital, North Goa, working in the Addiction Treatment Facility. She is certified in Team CBT and offers therapy sessions to adults dealing with a range of concerns, including addiction, anxiety, depression, and emotional distress.
Her clinical expertise lies in addiction recovery and evidence-based interventions. With a strong foundation in hospital-based mental health care, Mehvish brings depth, structure, and compassion to Helping Heart’s therapeutic approach, ensuring it is both clinically sound and client-focused.
Together, Afreen and Mehvish combine therapeutic experience, community outreach, and clinical depth to provide:

•Mental health awareness campaigns and social initiatives
