The Well for Healing Trauma

It is a place to understand, a place of acceptance; a place to remember; a place to memorialize; a place to forgive; a place to release labels and disappointments; a place to reclaim; a place to meditate, be still, to pray; a place of resolution; a place of new beginnings. The Well is a therapeutic landscape garden. It has hardscaped stations for exploration surrounding a water feature. The design facilitates healing and education for those who have experienced trauma and loss. It is a place to start the process of healing through resources, education, and reflection, as well as a resource to connect with professional help. Our goal is to be a resource to those who have suffered loss or experienced trauma. The physical wells on university campuses are designed as safe spaces for university students, staff and faculty as well as the communities in which the universities reside.
