Hemp Northwest is an Oregon Hemp Seed Food and Ingredient Processor, Manufacturer and Distributor working collaboratively with NW farmers, OSU Global Hemp Innovation Center, The Hemp Feed Coalition and other hemp seed processors and producers across the USA to build and support an all-American supply chain of growing hemp seed grain and producing high quality hemp seed food products for humans and animals.
Located right on the Columbia River- OR/WA border in the Port of The Dalles, Oregon, Hemp Northwest is strategically located to support hemp seed processing for farm partners and producers in OR/WA/ID and northern NV/CA, while being well located for product distribution into Portland/Seattle/California markets and our Pacific Ports for Export access to the world.
Hemp Northwest launched in 2017- the year of the first Washington State Hemp harvest, working collaboratively to develop markets and supply chain consistencies for NW farmers and food companies to produce and use American Grown Hemp seed ingredients.
Working with the Colville Confederated Tribes in North East WA in 2018 under the WSDA IHRP, prior to passage of the 2018 Farm Bill and federal legalization- Hemp Northwest processed in our Oregon facility and brought to market the first Washington Grown Hemp crop to be commercialized.
2019 Saw growth in processing and manufacturing and collaborations with new clients in the health foods and animal nutrition markets. We had hemp grain production trials across the NW region and expanded our relationships with other American farmers and hemp processors across the west.
2020 is shaping up to be an exciting year as Hemp Northwest is preparing to coordinate production of 1200+ acres of hemp seed grain across Washington, Oregon and Idaho in conjunction with over 10,000 acres of production in the network across Montana and North Dakota, all growing the same varieties allowing us to create market consistencies and confidence for our clients.
