Henry's Place Summer Camp & Retreat Center

Founded in memory of Sergeant Henry Prendes of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Henry’s Place honors his vision of creating a safe, nurturing environment, where at-risk youth can experience the joy of summer camp, an opportunity many might never have. As a Christ-centered organization, we provide high-quality, no cost camp experiences designed to inspire HOPE, confidence, and growth. Jesus is the foundation of our mission– his love is the transformative power that changes lives. Through faith, mentorship and community, we equip young people with leadership skills, teamwork, and self-esteem, while fostering, moral values, civic responsibility and respect for others. Rooted in Christian values, Henry’s Place partners with churches, faith based organizations and local businesses to shape young lives and create lasting impact. By empowering youth to grow in faith and character, we’re preparing them to become leaders and servants who will inspire future generations in Southern Nevada and Southern Utah.
