Her Move Next

The benefits of after-school chess enrichment are well documented, but still less than 20% of active scholastic chess players are girls. The HerMoveNext Foundation, Inc. is helping to change chess demographics, by welcoming scholastic K-12 girls, from beginners to advanced players, for a safe opportunity to play, coach, and officiate competitions. We further strive to allow girls to share their voices through writing articles, short stories, interviews, game analysis and more for our online blog. Blending chess, community, and competition, Her Move Next is empowering girls and encouraging tomorrow’s leaders.
