Herberg Hanenberg is our retro-style B&B for anyone looking to escape the rush of city life. Located in the heart of the village of Wissenkerke, our place combines nostalgic charm with comfort and calm. Inside, you’ll find vintage details, soft colours, and warm materials—everything chosen to help you slow down and feel at home. The building dates back to 1876. In the 19th century, it served as a resting place for horses. Travelling riders would stop here to let their horses drink water, eat hay, and regain strength. Nearly 150 years later, we’re once again offering rest—this time for people. We’ve created a space where you can read by the window, write at a quiet table, or simply enjoy the stillness. Each room is carefully designed with a mix of retro design and everyday comfort. You’ll sleep well, wake up with the sound of birds, and start the day with a delicious breakfast from our neighbours at Hotel Restaurant De Kroon. Our B&B is a place to reconnect—with yourself, with each other, or with the quiet rhythm of the village.
