Often, women's pain, concerns, and discomfort are ignored or downplayed by medical professionals without proper knowledge of women's physiology. Cardiovascular disease currently takes the lives of 1 in every 5 women because early, women-specific, warning signs are missed and go unmonitored. HerHeartCo is a multifaceted intervention for improving women's quality of life during peri-menopause and reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease in the long term.
