Herpetofauna Foundation

EN | Goals The foundation aims to raise funds to help conservation programs that focus on reptile and amphibian species, as well as invertebrates. Within this remit we fully support the conservation of the habitat in which these animals live and help to protect species that are necessary for the survival of all herpetofauna. The foundation offers support and general help to other types of institutions, including zoos, breeding projects, and local governments that pursue the same goals and conservation ideals in an advisory role. The foundation will assist in ongoing programs for the conservation of reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates where needed. We also have plans to develop new conservation projects. The foundation strongly promotes all activities that encourage education about these animal groups and will educate people through lectures, advice at specialized trade shows and conventions. NL | Doelstelling De stichting heeft als doelstelling het vergaren van kapitaal voor het ondersteunen van projecten die dierenwelzijn bevorderen, specifiek gericht op de diergroepen behorend tot de orde reptielen, amfibieën en geleedpotigen en de daarbij behorende biotopen en verwante soorten die het voortbestaan van deze diergroepen mogelijk maken. De stichting helpt bij het adviseren van overige organisaties, zoals die door particulieren, stichtingen en overheid worden gevoerd die een gelijkwaardige doelstelling nastreven. De stichting ondersteund bestaande projecten en helpt bij het opzetten van nieuwe projecten die de belangen van de stichting behartigen. De stichting zorgt voor het uitdragen van kennis over deze diergroepen in de vorm van lezingen, workshops, uitgeven van artikelen, informatiedagen en alle overige gelegenheden waar de mogelijkheid hiervoor bestaan, evenals wervingsmogelijkheden.
