Greg Herring founded Herring Law Group in 2015 to better focus his practice and serve his clients. We handle complex family law cases and other civil litigation in Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Los Angeles Counties, and beyond. Greg has handled matters in state and federal courts throughout California, and in other states. Ruston Imming brings nearly ten years of Santa Barbara courtroom experience and presence.
We routinely guide complex business, property and income issues in the family law environment. Cases involve business interests, entertainment/intellectual property rights, professional goodwill, celebrity/athlete multi-branding, “extraordinary high earner” child support, “marital standard of living” spousal support, separate property tracings and community property characterization and valuation.
They also include a full range of other family law challenges, including custody, parenting and domestic violence. Complications in those matters often involve mental health issues, personality disorders and substance abuse, so we remain updated on the latest thinking and approaches.
Greg’s status as a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (aaml.org) is distinctive, especially in the “805” region. Greg, a leader of the AAML in Southern California, regularly writes about family law and teaches it throughout the state.
