In 1976 I opened Hershey Percussion Studio and Shop at 1708 West
Market St in York. As Percussion teacher, I teach snare drum, tympany,
drum set, mallet percussion and accessories. My philosophy in Percussion
Education is to give students a lifelong appreciation and education in music.
My teaching credentials include a Bachelors degree in Music Education and a
Masters is Music Performance and six years of post graduate work with Leigh
Howard Stevens. I taught on the college level for 27 years at York College,
Messiah College, Millersville University and Susquehanna University. As a
performer I have been principal percussionist with YSO and HSO and
tympanist with Gettysburg Chamber Orchestra.
