HerSpine Solutions is a UK-based social enterprise dedicated to empowering women with spinal cord injuries (SCI) to lead bold, fulfilling lives through storytelling, adaptive solutions, and inclusive support systems. Globally, over 15 million people are living with spinal cord injuries, and in the UK alone, approximately 105,000 people are affected—with women making up 20% of this group. Yet, spinal cord injury support for women is often overlooked, as rehabilitation and healthcare services are typically developed without considering gender-specific needs. Women with SCI face additional challenges, such as: ✔ Gynaecological health concerns, which are rarely addressed in standard SCI care. ✔ Barriers in relationships, education, employment, and social inclusion due to stereotypes and misinformation. ✔ Limited access to gender-specific rehabilitation and adaptive living resources in the UK. At HerSpine Solutions, we bridge these gaps by providing holistic, gender-specific support that helps women with SCI rediscover their identity, confidence, and independence.
