Hetlinger Developmental Services, Inc. is a provider of services to people with developmental disabilities. Formed by a group of concerned parents and volunteers in 1961, the agency has grown both in the number of persons served and types of services offered. As the Community Developmental Disability Organization (CDDO) for Lyon, Chase, Morris, and Wabaunsee Counties, the agency is in partnership with Community Supports and Services, a division of Health Care Policy, of the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services to provide a locally managed system of developmental disabilities services throughout the state of Kansas.
