HexHomes is rethinking prefabricated modular housing with customizability, sustainability, and affordability in mind. Using solar energy and greywater recycling systems, our homes maximizing efficiency while reducing climate impact. HexHomes aims to expand the housing market for the diverse populations of the Inland Empire and Southern California. Eventually, HexHomes hopes to build one-of-a-kind communities of HexHomes for families to thrive together. HexHomes will also focus on providing temporary or permanent housing relief for disaster affected individuals with minimal set-up time and effort. The HexHomes design deviates from traditional design, drawing inspiration from the hexagonal beehive honeycomb. Hexagonal pods minimize wasted square footage by eliminating hallways found in rectangular construction and cleverly partitions the space. The hexagon has the perfect geometry for modular design, allowing for an infinite range of possibilities and customizability. With our hexagonal design, we have prioritized minimizing environmental impact while maximizing production capability.
