Hextar Capital Berhad (formerly known as OPCOM Holdings Berhad) was incorporated in November 1994 as a private limited company and subsequently listed on the MESDAQ Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad in December 2003. The Group is principally engaged in three core business segments: the manufacturing of fiber optic cables, network engineering services, and telecommunication network.
Our journey began when we foresaw the strategic demand for fibre optic cables in Malaysia, at a time where copper cable manufacturers dominated the market. Through a strategic partnership with Ericsson Network Technologies AB, Sweden, at inception, we kickstarted our operations, securing contracts with major telecommunication operators.
At Hextar Capital Berhad (formerly known as Opcom Holdings Berhad), we take pride in operating the country’s only fully equipped laboratory that conducts various cable tests on the cable products with a production plant is ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 9001:2015 certified.
In 2022, we embarked on a series of acquisitions to expand our core business, diversifying into new revenue streams with the addition of EPCC for power generation & transmission, construction of telecommunication towers, and satellite communication services to capitalize on opportunities with increasing demand for 5G infrastructure.
