About The Hope Foundation Reentry Network, Inc.

Mission With a mission to provide hands-on community transition services to returning citizens, the Hope Foundation Reentry Network (HFRN) aims to significantly decrease the risk of recidivism. We push our clients towards successful reintegration back into society. Our programs are designed to bridge the gap by offering mentoring, addiction prevention services, workforce development, and job/employment training opportunities. We also believe that our future is built through our youth and spend a great deal of our outreach towards providing kids with healthy platforms and support. Underscored by the need to address relevant factors such as drug addiction, alcoholism, homelessness, unemployment and low education, the program centers on making participants self-supporting, responsive and motivated productive members of society. Adult Programs The Fresh Start Mentoring Program (FSMP) is an employment preparation and mentorship program for individuals reintegrating into their communities. The FSMP is conducted within the DC Department of Corrections (DOC). The FSMP provides concepts, basic principles, and the exploration of self-directed pathways that will aid in the successful recovery. In addition, we also provide additional programs that complement the FSMP with the needed support necessary for successful reintegration. This is an ongoing program that services up to 375 individuals per year. Youth Programs The Ready Set Grow program is stationed in the DC Department of Corrections YME unit, DC Public Schools and Community Recreation Center. The course itself will enhance participants' communication methods, foster healthy relationships, extend family values, and develop a healthy self-esteem. We teach our kids how to become entrepreneurs as they prepare for life long careers. The program also facilitates efforts to effectively deal with day-to-day challenges directly related to substance abuse, criminal lifestyle, gang behavior, and mental/emotional wellness.
