Hi-Shear Technology, part of the Chemring Group, PLC, provides pyrotechnic, mechanical, and electronic products to the aerospace and defense markets in applications where safety, performance and high reliability are essential. We develop and produce advanced systems and products that are used worldwide in space exploration vehicles, satellites, launch vehicles, defensive & offensive missile systems, tactical weapons, and first-line fighter aircraft. Advanced Hi-Shear products include ultra low shock and electric separation mechanisms, dual channel safe arm fire devices, acoustic firing units and the code transmitters to fire them. Hi-Shear products have enabled men to land on the moon, rovers to explore Mars and construction of the international space station in orbit.
