HI-Tech is a PRIN research project founded on the principles of circular economy. Its primary objective is to harness the remarkable potential of black soldier fly (BSF) larvae to transform untapped nutrients within organic waste into valuable resources, including lipids, proteins, and chitin. These components can then be extracted and utilized in the creation of bio-based materials for various technical applications, spanning biosurfactants, bioplastics, polymers, and pharmaceutical products.
