LIFE HI4S

LIFE HI4S project is funded by LIFE EU Programme, it will last 36 months with 8 partners involved from Spain and Italy. LIFE HI4S aims to build an innovative cost-effective combined heat&electricity production plant from the waste heat contained in the off-gas of an electric arc furnace (EAF) in order to reduce energy input through thermal energy storage and energy balance optimization. The project mission is to reduce the contribution to climate change of energy intensive industries, by increasing their energy efficiency and cutting wastages. LIFE HI4S is completely aligned with European Green Deal priorities to get full economy decarbonization through disruptive technologies with the potential to promote industry energy efficiency.
