The mission of the Hawaiʻi Behavioral Health Connection (HiBHC) is to increase access to clinically and culturally appropriate care for all people of Hawaiʻi.
Co-founders Dr. Diane Logan and Dr. Victoria Liou-Johnson each have over 15 years of experience in the mental and behavioral health fields. They were colleague acquaintances on the Hawai’i Psychological Association Board of Directors who formed Maui Strong Mental Health Response (MSMHR) after the Maui Wildfire disaster on Aug 8, 2023.
Drs. Logan and Liou-Johnson, both National Register credentialed Health Psychologists, had a shared vision of forming an organization that would serve all the people of Hawai’i through cooperative referral programs, behavioral health training, supervision opportunities, resource and program development, and partnerships with national, state, local, and grassroots organizations. With an eye towards the future, MSMHR expanded to become Hawai’i Behavioral Health Connection (HiBHC) to represent service to all of the Hawaiian Islands.
