About HiCREST Laboratory

The HiCrest research group combines expertise in parallel algorithms and high performance computing with reliable computing systems. The synergy between researchers from multidisciplinary fields is our key in the quest for the most performant, efficient, and reliable configuration. Our research is focused on High Performance Computing and Safety-Critical applications, ranging from self-driving cars to space exploration. Our interest ranges from traditional CMOS systems to more advanced and exotic technologies, including Quantum Computing, Neuromorphic devices, and Processing In Memory. The group, besides being very active and successful in various research communities, has a deep interest in experimental evaluations in the industrial field, with a strong focus on impact and technology transfer.
