Highland Development Institute

Description: The Highland Development Institute (HDI) is a youth-run think tank that focuses on various aspects of policy-making in Gilgit-Baltistan. These aspects include policies related to the economy, education, climate change, nutrition, and agriculture. By collaborating with different policy think tanks in GB, our goal is to create policy briefs and offer policy recommendations for pressing social, economic, and political issues in Gilgit-Baltistan. Through this platform, we aim to empower GB students to address policy-related challenges in GB by working with other stakeholders. Our Work: - Conducting rigorous research and analysis on key development challenges and opportunities in Gilgit-Baltistan. - Producing evidence-based knowledge products, including reports, briefs, and datasets. - Advocating for policies and programs that support sustainable development, social justice, and environmental conservation - Collaborating with researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to advance knowledge and inform decision-making.
