HDS Enterprises develops programs for schools to help young black men learn the skills and mindset which they will need to become successful young black men. We work with school systems and are often asked to speak at educational and cultural conferences.
58% of young black teens and adults do not graduate high school, nationwide. Many men have were not taught the tools they need for life and they becoming part of the prison pipeline.
Our programs are based on our founder, Hillary Drummond Simpson's 27 years' experience in the school systems as Chief Executive Officer of Education Management and of other contributors and partners. They help young black males develop mentally, socially, and emotionally, preparing them for a more successful future and helping to keep them from falling between the cracks.
Ms. Simpson's time in the school systems showed her how important it is for the school staff to be able to run and operate any program. Teachers and other staff members who are already engaged with the students, but need a structure and program from which to interact with them are taught the methods and trained to put them into use as a team to deliver a consistent and constant message to the students. LDS Enterprises supports them, and can assist as necessary.
