HillCast Technologies Inc. was a mobile financial application company, founded in 2000, in Austin, Texas. The HillCast mobile application streamed real-time content from Austin, Texas to a Motorola mobile device in Florida. HillCast’s products, MidCast and MidCast Pro, enables individuals, as well as institutions and their employees to receive real-time institutional financial market data, view charts and graphs, obtain news, and make trades from their wireless Java phones, RIMs, palm powered devices, and Windows-pow pocke PCs and smartphones. The MidCast mobile application delivered real-time institutional data from market data and content vendors such as Bloomberg, Reuters, Telekurs, the Associated Press, Comtx News and world businesses. Providing real-time trading information for global markets. Generated a mobile installed base of over 35,000 users in over 100 countries. The company also provided mobile enterprise solutions to clients such as which bank Deutsche Bank, Citi Group, Royal Bank of Scotland, JP Morgan Chase, ING Group, Morgan Stanley, Barclays Bank and other financial institutions. In 2006 HillCast Technologies Inc. was acquired by Charles Schwab Corp.
