Hillersden Wines is a family business with a culture of caring that extends to the people we work with, the wines we make, and the care we have for the impact we have on the environment. We keep close to home the rustic charm of winemaking, crafting single estate wines on the outer rim of Marlborough wine country in New Zealand. We are pushing the boundaries for sustainable development growing our wines in the relentless conditions of the Upper Wairau Valley, our own unique sub-climate. Wherever possible Hillersden is developing sustainable and organic practices, the use of solar energy, advances in irrigation technology and frost management, and soil rejuvenation projects just to name a few. We take our name from the old Hillersden settlers township, a faint memory of an industrious pre-war New Zealand that stood where our modern vineyard is today. The Forlong family and the Hillersden team are working tirelessly to revive Hillersden, honoring its tradition and rich history by creating a new legacy for the modern wine lover. Real people.
