It conducts annual audits and safeguards hundreds of millions of dollars in county funds. It handles the payroll for Hillsborough County government and it pays the bills. It tracks thousands of pieces of county-owned equipment. It delivers the mail to over 250 locations at all county offices. Clerks keep the minutes of every Hillsborough County Commission meeting and the Value Adjustment Board.
Supporting our Courts: Court Clerks protect 13th Judicial Circuit Court records, swear in witnesses, and record evidence at trials. They collect court-ordered fines, fees, and costs - a portion of which supports our operations and that of other Clerks around the state. The Office also supports one of the foundations of Democracy by summoning thousands of jurors every year.
