Hiork

Hiork Recruitment and Staffing Agency was founded in 1983 by Mr. William Peter in Ireland. Over the next 15 years, the company expanded its operations to four countries: Ireland, the UK, Germany, and Belgium. Following Mr. Peter’s passing in 2020 and subsequent financial challenges due to an employee surplus, Hiork was put up for sale in 2023. The company was acquired by two Belgian startups — one a recruitment firm and the other a software company — with a combined workforce of 10 employees. Currently, Hiork operates solely out of Belgium with a team of 23 employees, including freelancers. Plans are underway to merge Hiork with one of the acquiring companies to further streamline operations and enhance service delivery.
