HireBlack.com and #HireBlack began in April 2019 as a portal to help connect, educate, network, and assist bridging the diversity gap between companies and diverse candidates.
HireBlack.com and the #HireBlack movement were inspired by Beatrice Youngblood, an extraordinary hard working 87 year old African American mother of 8 grown children, who while working in the African American studies Dept. at University of Md., saw all 8 kids into college while attaining her own Bachelors degree.
Her influence inspired her son Stefan Youngblood to launch the first website and Twitter for HireBlack in early 2019. HireBlack now boasts over 1,475 current seeking candidates.
