A little about us:
Henrys background was formed from a three-year mechanical engineering apprenticeship, after which he worked in the automotive industry and Agricultural industry as a mechanical engineer for several years before finding his way into the super yacht industry. Henry has spent six years at sea working as an engineer onboard vessel ranging in length from 30m to 70m, before returning to a land-based position working autonomously for various shore-based engineering companies. The works undertaken at this time were the service and rebuilding of northern lights generators, servicing of MTU, CAT and Perkins main engines to mention a few. The service, repair, and inspection for various classification societies on pumps. bow thrusters, rudders, props, all under water works, shaft seals and shafts. In this time, he has completed a diploma in marine engineering and plans to expand on his knowledge and qualifications to MSc level in the future.
Matthews background. I have been working within the marine industry for 27 years in various roles from chief engineer 35m to 61m, ship build and repair, national generation power for Alstom large generators, offshore oil and gas as ROV supervisor with my company Deep Blue Sea ROV services Ltd for 7 years before forming Hiro marine engineering with Henry. I have extensive experience working with many marine systems including commercial shipping and large yachts.
