Hispanic Heritage Flag

Hispanic Heritage Flag company information, Employees & Contact Information

In February 2023, the mission to create a distinctive flag for Hispanic Heritage Month began when St. Louis City Hall raised a Black History Month flag. Inspired by this, efforts were made to establish a similar symbol for Hispanic Heritage Month. The initiative sought to fill a gap by designing a unique Hispanic Heritage Flag. The Regional Arts Commission funded the project, and local artist José Garza was commissioned to bring the design to life. To ensure the flag truly represented the diverse Hispanic community, focus groups of Hispanic leaders across Missouri were involved, providing valuable input on colors and design elements. After a collaborative process, a final design was chosen to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. Special thanks to the focus group participants, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of St. Louis, Hispanic Festival, Inc., Latinx Arts Network, Regional Arts Commission, José Garza, and all supporters of this mission.
