About Hit the Bricks - Wake Forest University
Hit the Bricks is a cherished philanthropic tradition at Wake Forest that honors the alumnus and former NFL player Brian Piccolo, who tragically lost his battle with cancer at just 26 years old. Our event is an 8-hour relay race around Wake Forest’s upper quad that unites people from all corners of campus, concluding with a Closing Ceremony in the last hour to honor those who have lost their lives to, or are fighting, the battle against cancer. We are Wake Forest’s largest student-organized charitable fundraiser, and we are counting down the days until this year’s HTB, which is on September 25th, 2025
