HIVE (Harmony, Interaction, and Versatile Exploration) Lab is a research group at the Department of Design, IIT Kanpur, founded in 2022 by Dr. Gowdham Prabhakar. We investigate how people interact with technology across domains like HCI, Music Technology, Robotics, Automotive UI, and New Media, with a focus on designing intuitive and expressive systems. From cognitive interfaces and driver alert systems to musical performance tools and interactive installations, our work blends engineering, design, and art.
