Home Is Where The Heels Are

Take a step forward, bring the heels back. Throughout Chapel Hill's history, students, alumni and community members were welcomed to campus everyday with the presence of massive blue Tar Heel footprints painted on the four major roads that lead into Chapel Hill. As roads and policies changed, the footprints faded away. The Fall 2019 Semester Wednesday class of New Media Technologies Impacting the Future of Advertising Marketing and Public Relations (NMTIFAMP) has the singular goal of bringing the footprints back to mark our territory, intimidate incoming rivals, and welcome back students and alumni. This student-run campaign is grounded by one strong message: “Home is Where the Heels Are”. Hundreds of thousands of people consider Chapel Hill and the University home, and our goal is to celebrate that with the repainting of the heel prints. #HomeIsWhereTheHeelsAre #FeelTheHeels
