John is a certified ALICE Instructor (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate), CRASE Instructor (Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events), an ASHER Instructor (Active Shooter Hostile Event Response) and a Rescue Task Instructor. In addition to those certifications, John has also received training from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) specifically on Violent Intruder Preparedness.
