About The Hong Kong Award for Young People (香港青年獎勵計劃)

The Hong Kong Award for Young People (AYP), formerly known as The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, was established in Hong Kong in 1961 and is a licensed member of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation. AYP hopes to cultivate young people from 14 to 24 years old with perseverance and the spirit of self-challenge through unique international principles. We envisage bridging the gap that formal education could not fill for young people, helping young people from different backgrounds to unleash their potential and create limitless possibilities through developing transferable skills, increasing their fitness levels, cultivating a sense of adventure, and volunteering in their community.
