Originally founded in Shanghai, China, in 1913 as Tak Fong Weaving and Dyeing Co. The Group started as a two-mill operation; focusing on weaving, dyeing and finishing. It was the first licensed weaving and dyeing factory in Shanghai In 1948, the Company moved its operations to Hong Kong under a new name, Hong Kong Spinners Limited, together with a sizeable entourage of staff.
