HMEG (Harmonic Motion Electricity Generator) is new type of linear power generation method and a generator which use that method.
Present invention is linear electricity production method from potential or chemical source of energy by using harmonic motion of a rotor which move between two reciprocal spring over bearing system and covered with stator.
Alternative of HMEG which turn chemical energy into electricity is more like to free piston linear engine. Essentially, main differences from it, HMEG has separate magnet/rotor room from piston/piston rod which give distinctive advantage to move rotor independently from length of stroke (BDC-TDC).
HMEG is more efficient than free piston linear engines because;
- has more time for magnet/rotor induct stator thanks to harmonic oscillation
- has additional non-power stroke which increase time to keep hot gas inside combustion room
- adjustable compression ratio due to spring constant
- easy and effective lubrication thanks to separate room
