Jeff Widness founded HMI as Home Menders, Inc. in Minnesota in 1973. By 1975, HMI had grown into a heavy construction company, adding complicated multi-structural concrete projects, along with airport construction and navigation systems, to its expertise. HMI established early on a solid foundation for high-quality work.
From airport lighting systems, localizers, and military contracted arrestors to city-contracted construction such as retaining walls, city-contracted schools and beyond, HMI now offers its over 40 years of construction management to clients all over the United States for airports, cities, and private business enterprises.
