HMK Ltd was incorporated in 1992 at our manufacturing site in Congleton, Cheshire, England. HMK specialises in the development and manufacture of industrial machine knives made in-full and in-part from Tungsten Carbide and other hard metals such as High Speed Steel. In addition, we offer the same service on a wide variety of replacement Tungsten Carbide wearparts for high-speed processing machinery increasing machine uptime, performance and reliability.
Our business is built upon a foundation of technical expertise and upon supplying quality ‘hard metal’ products. We continually strive to expand our expertise to assist customers with solutions to their hard metal wearparts requirements and to reduce runtime costs by extending product life.
Industry expertise and close working relationships with our customers has enabled HMK to become one of the leading suppliers of Tungsten Carbide products within the Tobacco, Rubber, Brick and Roof Tile and Food industries; with a Blue Chip client base spanning the world.
In the early part of 2016 HMK Ltd was acquired by Arkote Ltd of Sheffield. The two businesses have a long standing relationship, supplying Tungsten Carbide knives to the Tobacco industry. Arkote is the world leader in knife supply to the global Tobacco industry and the HMK acquisition expands the total product scope and provides security for the future of HMK.
