As a 100% subsidiary of the HanseMerkur Insurance Group, HanseMerkur Trust Swiss (HMTS) is deeply rooted in a traditional Hanseatic company. However, we operate completely independently. The HanseMerkur Insurance Group can look back on a long history dating back to the founding of Hanseatische Krankenversicherung VVaG in 1875. As a mutual insurance association, we remain committed to our customers and employees to this day, without the influence of external shareholders or investors.
As a subsidiary of the HanseMerkur Group, we as HMTS operate directly from the Swiss financial centre of Zurich. On 5 June 2023, we received FINMA authorisation as a manager of collective assets. With four specialists, we currently manage five funds with a focus on artificial intelligence, sustainability and the Swiss economy:
