The Hogeye was founded in 1977. It has gone through many changes and editions with the current event hosting a marathon, and half marathon- which are both the longest continuously-running in Arkansas. The event has been around the first or second weekend of April, however is now to April, 20-21, 2024. It takes place in beautiful Northwest Arkansas, starting and finishing in downtown Springdale on Emma Ave. Proceeds benefit NWA charities. The Hogeye Team Challenge gets companies involved.
