HOLBERT APPLE ASSOCIATES, INC. (HAA) located in Olney, Maryland (a northern suburb of Washington, DC) is engaged solely in the practice of consulting structural engineering. The firm was established in 2001 and is a certified Maryland small business with eleven staff members. HAA's client base includes architects, county, state and Federal government agencies, universities, contractors (both design/build projects and construction consulting), civil and MEP engineers and building owners. The HAA principals and associates have worked with many of these clients for over 20 years. Services include design of new buildings and parking structures, condition surveys (including the mobilization of the entire engineering staff to assess damage to numerous public and private buildings in the Mid-Atlantic region as a result of the August 23, 2011 earthquake), load-capacity studies, renovation and repair of existing structures, peer reviews, due-diligence and feasibility studies and expert witness testimony. HAA is currently providing consulting engineering services for multiple projects in the Mid-Atlantic region and, in the past, has worked on projects located in such diverse locations as Florida, Texas, California, Iraq, Pakistan and Peru.
