Holma Helsinglands

Since its founding in 1898, Holma-Helsinglands has been a driving force in the spinning and textile industry, not only in Hälsingland but also in Sweden and internationally. The history of Holma-Helsinglands is a fascinating journey that began with the first conversations between founder Axel Leman and two farmers in Forsa, Lars Andersson in Lund and Lars Andersson in Hedsta. They saw the potential in processing the flax grown in the region and refining it mechanically. Their shared vision was to establish Hälsingland’s first mechanical flax spinning mill, which led to the founding of Helsinglands Linspinneri AB on March 11, 1898.
