Holm Akhdar (Green Dream) is an independent environmental foundation that aims to promoting environmental awareness and common understanding of Yemen’s environmental challenges. Holm Akhdar was founded in 2012 in Sana'a, that seeks to preserve the environment in Yemen and reach more sustainable practices. Holm Akhdar informs its audience with in-depth reports on a wide range of topics including climate change, biodiversity, Water, environmental crimes, Wildlife, and renewable energy in Yemen. Holm Akhdar Foundation includes 3 sectors: Holm Akhdar for environmental studies and Consultancy, Holm Akhdar for Dissemination, and Holm Akhdar platform for environmental journalism. Our Vision: We exist to be the voice of the environment in Yemen, through the knowledge production on environmental issues and solution innovation. Our Message: We seek change towards a green future, defend environment in Yemen, urging communities, companies, and policymakers to consider the environment and contribute to creating a positive impact by creating solutions, to promote more environmentally friendly practices and sustainable. Our values: Our values are based on seven high standards: The honesty, transparency, fairness, impartiality, independence, Sustainability and Teamwork. Our Mission: Holm Akhdar’s mission is to raise awareness of environmental issues and climate change on a national scale, impose pressure on decision-makers to respond to environment-related risks, and contribute to strengthening the environmental policies system in Yemen.
