Holody Electroplating is a medium sized plating facility (40,000sq.ft) that has served the metal finishing industry for over 40 years. It's founder, Joseph Z.Holody started the Guelph, Ontario company in 1955. Holody Electroplating offers both rack and barrel finishes whereby alkaline cleaners remove oils, soils, hydrochloric acid pickles and removes oxides and etch the surface for plating to be applied. These include Zinc, Copper, Nickel, Cadmium, Tin and Silver as well as a variety of post-plating treatments including Conversion Chromates, Wax, Empirguard, Silica Seal Lacquer are applied to the final product. Plating thickness range from commercial thickness of .0001(2.5um) for appearance and shelf storage life to specification deposits up to .0008(20um) for extended corrosion resistance, colour identification, enhanced lubricity are all available upon request with Stress Relief in baking ovens with open perforated baskets to eliminate Hydrogen Embrittlement of many hardened steels. Holody boasts a complete resource library of Automotive Specs. and other customer specifications for the Construction, Plumbing, Health & Safety,aerospace, Electrical and Appliance industries it presently is approved to supply. Our fully equipped QA/QC Laboratory controls all aspects of the operation with the implementation of SPC and closely monitoring our suppliers. Quality Assurance is achieved with a variety of testing equipment including EddyMag thickness tester complete wet laboratory apparatus, saltspray cabinet and computerized Statical Process Control to provide vital data which guarantee and certify that product specifications are attained.
