Shandong Hongjitang Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd. was founded in 1907. It is a nationally-known Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) company, ranking in the top 50 in China’s TCM industry. Hongjitang has 148 TCM medical product approval numbers and 11 large formulations, giving it a competitive edge.
In 1915, Hongjitang Ejiao won the gold medal at the Panama Pacific International Exposition, which was the first award bestowed upon TCM and TCM health care products in the world. In 2015, the same product won another award at the Milan World Expo, and Hongjitang’s project developing and industrializing synthetic muscone won China’s First Class National Award for Science and Technology Progress.
Hongjitang’s world-class TCM production facilities have been built according to the latest cGMP standards. Procedures like extraction, pulverizing and air conditioners are automated, while using elevated warehouses, unique electronic supervision ID coding and a professional logistics delivery system. Our synthetic muscone production is fully automated. To ensure the source and quality of our key raw material for Ejiao, we have initiated DNA testing for every piece of donkey skin used to produce Ejiao, with relevant information retrieved by scanning its QR code.
In recent years, Hongjitang ndw drug manufacturing approvals include: two TCM Category VI, a number of TCM Category VIII and IX, and two Chemical Medicine Category VI. Among its products, two have obtained a TCM Protection Certificate and three others have become standards in the Pharmacopoeia of PRC.
In September 2016, Hongjitang (Stock Code: 838658) entered the capital market and went public on NEEQ, signifying its transformation from a traditional manufacturer to an innovation-driven enterprise. With TCM as one of the drivers of the national economy, Hongjitang Pharmaceutical plans to become the No.1 mass-market brand in the TCM industry within the coming years.
