Het fonds, beheerd door Martien van Winden, streeft naar een gemiddeld rendement op lange termijn (10 tot 15 jaar) van minimaal 7% per jaar, na aftrek van alle kosten. Het feit dat het fonds spaarzaam mutaties aanbrengt in de portefeuille – een zogenaamde “buy and hold strategy” – leidt ertoe dat het resultaat op termijn slechts in beperkte mate door transactiekosten wordt gedrukt.
