Hospice of Yuma is a recognized GuideStar Platinum nonprofit hospice based out of Yuma, Arizona. Established in 1981, Hospice of Yuma is committed to providing compassionate care for Yuma County residents who are in need of quality end-of-life services. It is our vision to develop, enhance, and expand hospice and palliative care services in the Yuma area. Hospice of Yuma is known for providing state-of-the-art medical care, as well as emotional and spiritual support tailored to our patients and their families needs , including: - A Physician and Nurse who make regular rounds to check on patient, document any changes, and provide care and symptom management as needed. - Medications & Medical Equipment needed for patient care. - Certified Nurse Assistants who attend to patients personal care needs. -Social Workers to listen and guide a patient and their family through any concerns or needs during the end-of-life process - Chaplains to offer spiritual support and lend a sympathetic ear. Hospice of Yuma also provides a wide-array of Bereavement & Community Services that are made available to patient caregivers and families as well as the general public.
