Aiming to promote responsible pet ownership and proper treatment of hamsters, "How We Hamsters Die" is a comedic 2D animated short film that tells the absurdly tragic stories of hamsters from the afterlife.
HWHD is the first "mockumentary" to come from San Jose State's Animation/Illustration Program. Through our film we explore the unusually common experience of bizarre hamster deaths in a humorous and educational lens. Watch as our cast of hamsters recount their own untimely and wacky deaths from the hamster after-life (all based on true stories)!
Prepare to laugh, cry, and gasp in shock as our mixed-media, documentary-style film takes a look into how and why our colorful cast of pet hamsters died.
HWHD is currently on it's Film Festival Run!
